What does it mean to be Surrendered?
For every person, being Surrendered will have a different meaning but the basis of this lifestyle is saying yes to God’s will and plan for our lives.
We invite you to seek God with us so that you may define and express “Surrendered” for yourself.
Our Mission Statement
Surrendered: In/To Love to Serve
We are surrendered to the love of God and we dedicate our lives to serve Him in and through that love by presenting Jesus to the lives we encounter. We seek to cultivate a culture in which the evidence of our surrender to Christ is the way we love whomever is in front of us.
To make the spirit of surrender contagious.
To provide a safe space for youth & young adults to experience God’s love as well as connect with each other.
To serve our church and community.
To change the culture of our generation.

We believe in the Trinity — that there is one God eternally expressed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son who came to earth in human form to die as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world. This saving grace is available to all who believe and put their faith in Him. Jesus was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, willfully died on the cross, and was buried. He rose from the dead on the third day and is alive and will return again in glory for His church — for those who have trusted Him. Everyone who confesses that Jesus is Lord and commits his/her life to Him receives salvation from the everlasting punishment for those who have chosen not to put their faith in Him.
Our Home Base
We are the youth ministry of Highland Church, a non-denominational & multicultural church located in the heart of Jamaica, Queens, NY.
Highland is more than just a building to us, it’s our home. While we have been rebranded as Surrendered in 2019, our roots as a ministry run deep. Most of the members in our leadership, worship, and production teams have been in ministry together for years. A lot of our youth & young adults even grew up in Highland so family and community are extremely important to us. We want every new young person who comes to visit to feel right at home with us.
We are so thankful for our pastors, ministers, ministry leaders, and all the parents that have prayed on our behalf and showed us love & support as we’ve worked on taking our ministry to new heights!
