We believe that the Bible is the complete authoritative written Word of God. It is the revelation of God’s plan for man. People are born again through hearing and believing the message of the Bible. God has provided the Bible for the perfecting and maturing of His children.
We believe in the Trinity — that there is one God eternally expressed in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God is the creator of everything that exists and was not created by anyone. He is the source of all that is good, the master of all creation, and the perfect, holy, and righteous judge of all the free creatures He has made. Besides Him there is no other god in heaven or earth.
God the Father is the creator of everything — of time & space, of the earth and all beings that live on it. He is the First and the Last, and before Him there was none and there will be none after Him.
The Son, Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God the Son who came to earth in human form to die as the atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world. This saving grace is available to all who believe and put their faith in Him. Jesus was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, willfully died on the cross, and was buried. He rose from the dead on the third day and is alive and will return again in glory for His church — for those who have trusted Him. Everyone who confesses that Jesus is Lord and commits his/her life to Him receives salvation from the everlasting punishment for those who have chosen not to put their faith in Him.
On earth, Jesus was 100% God and 100% man. He was conceived by the Father through the Holy Spirit in the womb of a young woman, a virgin named Mary. (Mary and her husband Joseph were Jesus’ earthly parents.) Jesus took on this physical form so that He could fully identify with humanity and as a result, show us unconditional love through the ultimate sacrifice.
The Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son and works actively on the earth today. His mission is to convict the world of sin, create & secure believers in Christ, and empower God’s Church to grow in grace and manifest God’s Kingdom in the earth. The Holy Spirit comes to dwell in the hearts and lives of everyone who believes and obeys the gospel, as the Comforter, Sustainer, and Keeper.
All gifts and miraculous works of the Holy Spirit are available to God’s people and each believer has been given at least one spiritual gift for ministry to others in the church body.
Humanity & Sin
We believe that all people were made in the image of God. Sin has separated humanity from God and allowed us to fall into moral darkness. The consequence of this sin is death and because of it, we are undeserving of God’s mercy. Left to ourselves, we would not seek God and His righteousness. We would die in sin, and die eternally.
Jesus was manifested to undo the work of the devil and His ultimate sacrifice has redeemed us and restored humanity to God.
We believe that God is a merciful God and we are saved by grace through faith in Jesus’ life, death, burial, and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or any human efforts.
Making a commitment to turn away from sin in every area of our lives and follow Christ allows us to be “born again” by the Holy Spirit. Through repentance, we receive forgiveness of sins and our salvation.
Being “Born Again”
Once you give your life to the Lord, you are given a new life in Him which Jesus calls being born again. Living a Godly life is an ongoing process of yielding to God’s Word and His Spirit in order to glorify Him. Jesus Christ lives within us once we choose to follow Him and give up our own will for His.
Water baptism is the first public act as Christians, a symbol of identification with Christ in His death, burial and resurrection. We are all called to go through the waters of baptism once we have received Christ in our lives.
The church is the body of Christ. As believers, we are unified and are called to be active members of the church body. The Bible says, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” (1 Corinthians 12:12) We are all important members of the church with gifts and talents given to us by God that He wants us to put to work for His glory.
We believe in the imminent second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is coming back to earth for those who love Him and have accepted redemption through His blood, by birth of water and of the Spirit, and who are found faithful when He comes.
We believe that the dead will rise (those who have trusted Christ as Lord and Savior) and have everlasting life, and those who have rejected Him will suffer everlasting punishment.
We believe that each of us will appear before the judgment seat of the Lord and our soul’s eternal destiny shall be determined by a fair God who knows the secrets of everyone’s heart.
